I wouldn't say I'm a huge believer, but I still find that stuff fascinating.

Definitely, the idea of it, and legends surrounding a lot of it, is so interesting. Every paranormal story has some origin to it. Vampire legends come from the way hair and fingernails seem to keep growing after a person dies, because of the skin shriveling up.

Or it could be an ERV, specifically vHERV, which causes "vampirism", as some in the paranormal community believe.

@TheMorningsStar: Some vampire legends from different places say they won't cross running water either. Fear of that's been observed in people with rabies before. It's so interesting to think about all the things that could come together to form those beliefs.
