The Romans claimed the founders of the city were called Romulus and Remus, descendents of refugees from Troy after the great battle with the Greek Kingdoms of Mycenae, Sparta and so many others, and the heroes Achilles, Agamemnon, Ajax and others. The Trojan princes Hector, and Paris, and Aeneas, the Son of Aphrodite (in Rome called Venus) were the opponents.
