Is the Lake of Fire Literal.

I am asking this question IS THE LAKE OF FIRE LITERAL.Some people believe that it is literal fire and that lost souls will burn forever in it.
The reason i believe that it is symbolic is that number one is that our mortal bodies would be destroyed within a few hours, those who believe that it is literal fire argue that in eternity all shall have immortal bodies those who are Christians and go to Heaven and non Christian who go to Hell therefore there bodies in the Lake of fire will burn throughout eternity. Number two i would doubt that a loving God would torture people for eternity in that way ,in saying that i believe that being separated from God and all that is good will be bad enough and it is a place to be avoided at all cost.
One way of avoiding going to Hell is putting your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Most Christians not all believe that it is an actual place.

Jesus said hell was prepared for the devil and his angels.

The Bible speaks of hellfire being eternal, meaning it burns forever. Can something burn forever? Maybe, even though the sun isn't actual flames as we know them but the suns burn for billions of years, so it's possible that there is something somewhere in this endless universe that has the capability of burning eternally. That is what the unquenchable fire of l actually means it is a place where fire Burns all the time.

Some believe people will burn in what is called hell eternally and never die but be tortured, while others believe hells fire means destruction. The ancient Hebrews did not believe in the tortures of hell's fire. Sheol which they considered the grave was simply a place where the dead go who are unaware and awaiting judgment, that drastically changed in the early centuries.

The Bible teaches destruction
