Is the Lake of Fire Literal.

I am asking this question IS THE LAKE OF FIRE LITERAL.Some people believe that it is literal fire and that lost souls will burn forever in it.
The reason i believe that it is symbolic is that number one is that our mortal bodies would be destroyed within a few hours, those who believe that it is literal fire argue that in eternity all shall have immortal bodies those who are Christians and go to Heaven and non Christian who go to Hell therefore there bodies in the Lake of fire will burn throughout eternity. Number two i would doubt that a loving God would torture people for eternity in that way ,in saying that i believe that being separated from God and all that is good will be bad enough and it is a place to be avoided at all cost.
One way of avoiding going to Hell is putting your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The lake of fire is symbolic. This is clearly the case because the Bible says death and hell are thrown into it and that it is the second death. You can't literally throw death or hell (the grave) so it is obviously symbolic. It is a symbol of everlasting destruction. It also doesn't make sense in a lot of ways. Demons, spirit beings and the Greek philosophical concept of the immortal soul (the Bible teaches the soul is the life, life experiences of any breathing creature. Animal and man) wouldn't be harmed by literal fire. Death, Satan, and hell (the grave) being thrown symbolically into the lake of fire mean they are destroyed forever. No more. No more death, sin, sickness, Satan, etc. Sin = death. Not hell. There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. (Acts 24:15) Also, the Bible says that once we've died our debt of sin is paid in full. We are acquitted of sin. That means no further punishment. (Romans 6:7)

What the Bible teaches is that Adam and Eve were meant to live forever but they sinned. Sin means to miss the mark, their sin was to think that they knew what was best for them instead of their creator. Jesus takes away sin, we live forever.

The Bible doesn't teach that all good people or Jews or Christians go to heaven while all bad people or non-Christians go to hell. The meek will inherit the earth and live forever in peace upon it. Not the meek go to heaven.

The teachings of Judaism and Christianity were corrupted by Greek philosophy. What we associate with Bible teachings are actually ancient Greek philosophical concepts that the church adopted over time in order to bring in more "pagans" and so increasing their sociopolitical power and money. It's pretty well documented. From Alexander the Great in 332 BCE and Constantine the Great in 325 CE.

Hell is also not a separation from God. God is in effect, in hell, according to the Bible. (Amos 9:2; Psalm 139:8) We were separate from God when we were created, and meant to join him in our perfection.

The links below are excellent because they give Bible comparisons. You can see the verses have seemingly different meanings and they also give the original language links and reference verses.
