I guess I must explain a lot about the way I feel.

I think a lot of Christian sentiment seems to think a lot of us Atheist are defined by our anger ultimately and it's true I am upset at a lot of the manifestations I witness in today's age o Christianity. what I mean is like for example I see Christians rallying against the HPV vaccine for fear it might encourage promiscuity to know that we no longer had to worry about that disease and now that we're on the cusp of an HIV vaccine as well I can imagine it's only a matter of time before the mainstream church and by this I'm not talking about a certain sexually liberated form of Christianity preached by a certain lady here but the more impactful mainstream churches that you see on TV and or who you hear about all the time in the news and are down the street from where you actually live for almost all of us. When it comes out you will see massive christian resistance to it simply because people may behave in a more sexually sinful manner if they did not need to worry about a certain virus that is known to destroy their immune system and invite in opportunistic infections.

These kinds of reactions portray a very twisted and pigheaded sense of priorities, as though it's better that people die than that they sin, I disagree. it's better they sin than they die.

Bring on the Vaccines, this kind of bullshit I'm talking about it's not a good look for pastors and unfortunately we see a lot of this kind of thing. Gardasil was resisted for exactly this reason "oh no, if they don't have to worry about HPV they might behave more slutty!!"

oh noes! What would be the fucking problem with that!?! that would be great! Christ.

but i'm an atheist because I'm a skeptic. I just don't see any good reason to believe.
