If you don't want to suffer in old age.

1. Don't depend on anyone. Dependence forces you to destroy your dignity.
2. Don't give everything away. If you empty yourself now, no one will replenish you.
3. Let go of unnecessary burdens. Release resentment, old wounds, and bitterness. Walk away.
4. Distance yourself from those who use you. Old age doesn't hurt because you are alone. It hurts because you are surrounded by the wrong people.

@sree251 Whose wisdom is that?

Not words in the Bible, I think.

I agree with releasing resentment and bitterness. They have no place in the Kingdom of God.

Whose wisdom is that?

Common sense, I guess.

No. Religion has nothing to do with wisdom.

I agree with releasing resentment and bitterness. They have no place in the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God has nothing to do with the World of Caesar aka the world of the living in the here and now.

@sree251 Anyway , enjoy the next forty years or so. Then reassess. Your body will limit you in the end.

The body will not limit me when it ends. I will be gone before it dies.

Let us hope not.

Why? Do you want to hang around to feel what hospice is like?
