Conflicted

My dad was a pastor. Only when I got to secondary school did I realise that's unusual. And about that age I started to be told to act this way, not that way etc.

I didn't do much of the normal teenage stuff because it wasn't "right". By 18 dad had introduced me to the man who became my husband I really didn't have much say in it.

Now 30 years later I've burst from the bubble I've lived in and. I'm so confused. I feel like I need to be a teenager again but I'm 45 so that can't happen.

And then there's all this conflict with past stuff. I've started yoga classes which I'm loving but my ex-husband repeats the doctrine of the church that it isn't compatible with being a Christian.

Just one of the conflicts I'm trying to consider currently.

Well are you a believer? Do you believe Jesus ( i am assuming the religion your talking about is Christianity) If it is then yeah yoga is incompatable, because yoga has both a spiritual element and a physical element.. If it was only about physical then it would bo ok with Christianity.. But the spiritual side of yoga does make it incompatable..

@Adstar Not all Christian’s would take that view. There is a wide spectrum of views on yoga. Many see the benefits of it. Some spiritual discernment though.

@peterlee Well i am here to give you what i believe is a Biblical POV.. The only POV that counts in the LORD's POV.. People can be and often are all over the place in their religious POVs ..

@Adstar We all depend on God’s grace.

@peterlee The Grace of God is obtained once we believe God and trust in the Atonement that the LORD secured for us.... Once a person resists the will of God then they are no longer believe God... right?

A Christian should have Zero resistance to the message of the LORD Jesus.. A Christian should accept all the teachings of the LORD and acknowledge their need for the Atonement of the LORD to pay the penalty for their transgressions against Gods will.. That's how we become secure in the grace of the LORD..

@Adstar let’s leave it there I think, I don’t intend arguing with you.Nothing to be gained by that.
