Does God love you, despite your imperfections? Does God know everything that goes on in your life, including your thoughts?
That scares some, because they might feel embarrassed if anyone knows what is going through their mind.
Yes, God knows everything that’s taking place in our lives—including our motives and our deepest inner thoughts. The Bible is clear: “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight” (Hebrews 4:13).
This verse reminds us that we can’t hide from God or try to deceive Him into thinking we’re better than we really are. Even if we’re as decent and good as we can possibly be, the Bible says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8). In other words, there's no fooling God, or lying to him. He knows us better than we know ourselves, yet despite our faults, he loves us more than anyone could, or ever will, and he proved that to us on the cross. He's not out to beat us over the head every time we mess up. He never came to harm nor hurt us...His mission was strictly to SAVE US FROM the condemnation Satan placed on us. John 3:17
The fact that God knows all about you (about all of us), also ought to bring you great hope—because even though He knows everything about you, He still loves you with all that is in Him and all that He is. Yes, you’d be embarrassed if a friend knew what you were really thinking—and they might not want anything more to do with you. But God isn’t like that. In spite of your sin, He still loves you. He loves us all so much, that He became the final sacrifice to atone for our sins. In fact, He volunteered to pay for our sins. He wasn't forced. He did it because of his great love for us. As he suffered on the cross, you were on his mind. He knew what his mission and purpose was, and that was solely and purely, to save your soul.
Jesus knew something about us and the spiritual world, that we didn't know. That is...the nature of sin, in that it separates us from God and eternal life in heaven forever if we allow it, but the GOOD news is, if we accept Jesus' plan of salvation and sacrifice, as our substitutional payment for the sins WE would personally have been responsible for, He is more than willing to save us and erase our sins, giving us a brand new life in Christ, including forgiveness and grace (unearned favor from God), through Christ. But WHY do I need forgiveness, you still might ask? Because the nature of sin is so damning to our soul, it cannot be obliterated nor washed away, unless it is paid for by the pure, innocent, undefiled, and sinless blood of Jesus:
The phrase "without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin" is a statement found in Hebrews 9:22 of the Bible and is at the core of salvation and forgiveness through Jesus, which is NECESSARY for the saving of our souls. It highlights that in the spiritual world, a sacrifice, specifically the shedding of blood, is necessary for atonement and forgiveness of sins. There's no two ways about it. Jesus said it, himself... He takes away the sins of the world, John 3:16. So whom will you believe....flawed, sinful man... or God?
Jesus said to trust Him—and not your own goodness, for your salvation. You are not sinless. Therefore, you cannot pay for your own sins which have seperated you from God and eternal life in heaven. Even if you tried your best and were at your best at "goodness", God has shown you, why you still cannot pay for your own sins. It takes a holy, unblemished by sin, sacrifice, if we're to be saved. And God could not have made it any easier for us to have salvation. It is simply a matter of choice, where we spend eternity. We must make the right choice, Jesus said. He turns no one away, who asks for salvation and forgiveness of their sins, through Christ.
Jesus wants to save you. He wants the best for you. If you leave that decision to chance, you will not be able to walk into heaven with your sins still unforgiven. There IS no sin in heaven. It is the holiest place in existence. No sin there. That's why it's called heaven. It's why God wants you there, so you can have and spend eternity in joy, peace, and perfect love. A place where there's no more disease, death, nor sorrows. No more tears. That's why the decision you make today, will affect where you spend eternity, tomorrow. As you can see, heaven is something you cannot afford to miss. Jesus said today is the day of salvation, not tomorrow. He does not want you putting your decision off, because he is coming back again one day and that could be at any time. You don't know exactly when, so why would you risk losing something as valuable and precious as your own soul, to the only chance you have, for eternal life? God said there are no second chances, after we cross over into eternity. Your soul is nothing to gamble with. It is far too precious for that. The Bible says there is no reincarnation. He means what he says. Your decision creates your final destination, and eternity is far too long, to get it wrong.
Ask God to fill your mind and heart with His truth, and with His love for others. The Psalmist’s prayer was: “ Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way of eternal life."Psalm 139:23-24).
You can find peace with God this very day. When you don't make ANY choice of where you'll spend eternity, you're telling God you don't need him OR salvation, which leaves your soul with no protection from Satan, whatsoever. That's not responsible living. That's not loving yourself enough to protect your own soul from evil and an eternity separated from God, by your own choice and unforgiven sin. God is not willing that ANY should perish, but have everlasting life in Jesus.
God does not hate us. He hates sin, because it separates us from him forever and that was never his plan for us, but we chose sin, separating us from Christ. Jesus' sacrifice, therefore, represents the ultimate payment for the sins of humanity.God's grace, mercy, and forgiveness, takes condemnation AWAY from us, that sin tried to enslave us to, forever. But sin can no longer condemn, whom Jesus has redeemed and saved by His precious blood. Once we're saved, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, until we go home to be with God. God never breaks His promises to us. He promised to never leave us nor abandon us.
Romans 8:35-39, confirms that nothing can separate believers from the love of Christ. Not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, and sword, neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
