You're born into the religion. It is not a choice. Compared to other options they have/had historically speaking، it may look appealing. And there are positive aspects that can be derived even from Islam. Some women find those more in line with their nature. What you're referring about heaven doesn't exist in the Quran. It is based on hadiths and scholars, which are the aspects of Islam I dislike.
But let's be real here, following a god because you "gain" something isn't really following a god. Some people have arrived at their conclusions because of their interpretations of the world and thinking it aligns with the quran.
Also, I don't know what we "gain" by focusing on people who choose it. It is their life. I only care to help those who didn't choose it. And even if they chose Islam and need help with something that is rooted in Islam, I would help. They are my people. I am one of them even if I am not Muslim. We all have our limitations.
