Curious question about satanists..

There are different kinds of Satanists. The one I'm familiar with is the Church of Satan, founded by Anton Lavey. They don't believe in heaven or hell. They are atheists who view the Bible as a work of fiction and identify with the character of Satan as an heroic underdog fighting an evil god. There is more to it, but the church is largely a fan club for that character and a satire of the Catholic church.

So you are suggesting they are basically opposites. Interesting.
