God is happy to provide the gospel of Hope to sinners.

I wonder how many times we stop to think about how blessed we are that God, in his love and mercy, bore our sins on the cross, just so we can have the promise of heaven, for those who asks for forgiveness. Think about that for a moment. Jesus didn't have to save us, but when believers come to him to be saved from the condemnation that sin placed on them, Jesus is ready and more than willing to save us.

Jesus completely absorbed our sins, while he was dying. He became a curse for us. He bore every one of our sins on the cross. He certainly didn't have to. He could have said no, but instead, he volunteered to do so. That proves how much he loves us, not even thinking of himself. Such agony and suffering he endured, just for us.

But what about when we sin NOW?

Remember when you were a child and maybe your parents got mad at you at times, when you were disobedient? It hurt them, yet they did not abandon you. Not if they were good parents, and our Father God is our best Father in heaven. While we mess up at times, that does not cause us to lose our salvation, in any way. What it does do however, is interrupt our spiritual fellowship with Him, just as we felt that "temporary interruption" in fellowship, when we sinned against our parents. However, when we apologized to our parents, they more than welcomed us back, and gave us a great big hug. They still loved us, and it is the same, with our Father in heaven. He doesn't hold a grudge.

If you have sinned against God and you're still feeling a disruption in fellowship with God, it is not because he has left you or abandoned you. When God forgives our sins, he completely forgets them, as the Bible confirms. He forgives our sins as far as the East is from the West and no one knows how far those reach. So though you still feel bad about a particular sin, God has already forgiven and forgotten it. What you are really experiencing, are the effects your sin brought about. That's what makes us unhappy. But as far as God goes, he has not even remembered them after he forgives them.

You may still be feeling the effects, because that devil keeps trying to tell you you're still condemned. That's wrong! He keeps banging it into your head that you are so condemned and you will never be forgiven by God! But he's a liar. He is the "father of lies" and confusion, so do not trust what he says. Rather, turn to the Bible and read what it says about God's forgiveness. That devil wants you to live in fear and condemnation. Never forget that. The truth of the matter is, and one promise you can stand on, is that God doesn't hold grudges. Once you are saved, He sees you as justified by the blood of Jesus. Just as if you had never sinned. Your sins washed away by the blood of Jesus. Look at the following verse and tell yourself the truth from God's Word.... God is not still mad at you. We may be disciplined by God, but never condemned. God is always very forgiving. He doesn't expect us to be perfect. He knows we can never be perfect and he understands that.

In the Bible, Romans 8:1 states, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".

The beauty of the Christian faith, is that when you confess your sins and ask for forgiveness, God readily forgives you and completely restores your fellowship with Him.

Even when you sin, God still loves you deeply and wants you to come to Him for forgiveness, so there's no broken fellowship between the two of you. He already wants to restore that fellowship with you, but just as he has forgiven your sins, he wants you to forgive yourself and move forward, because he knows that sin will just keep you in the past and very unhappy, and unnecessarily so. He doesn't want you sad.

The Bible offers comfort and reassurance about God's love and forgiveness. Focus on growing closer to God. Devote time to prayer, reading scripture, and participating in worship, to strengthen your relationship with Him.

If you still feel guilty over a sin, that's actually healthy thinking. It shows that you do love God and care what you do, and that your heart is in the right place, but God surely does not want you to continue grieving over it. When we do that, that keeps us away from doing all the good things we could be doing for God. And that's why Satan wants to pull you into that trap. He doesn't want you doing anything for God that will help you or other people. So please don't fall into that trap.

Worry is actually a sin, when you become obsessed over it, so please be careful of that. Worry only tells God that you don't trust him or His promises, when he said he would save you and keep you. It tells him you don't believe him, when he said he forgives you of your sins and forgets them. So don't fall for that. Remember what God said....there is no condemnation to those that love the Lord..." We either believe it or we don't. We walk by faith....we know God is no liar.

You must never beat yourself up over mistakes. The only one that beats us up over our mistakes is that devil. Certainly not Jesus. We must stop doing that. We're not living in the past, we are moving towards the future and what all we can do for God. Faith pleases him. You'll never get anywhere by looking in your spiritual rearview mirror, at the past. You can never move forward that way. You're not going that way, so keep your focus on Jesus and the path ahead. We can never go wrong in doing that.

Romans 8:6-11 explains that believers are freed from the "flesh" and can live in the Spirit because of Christ's death, resurrection, and life.

Remember that life is an ongoing challenge. If we did not make mistakes, we would never learn nor grow in Christ. So never resent them. They are there for good reason. Never to hurt us, but to alert us that something isn't working in our lives and needs to be changed, so we can be happier. Somewhere we have gotten off the path. Face those challenges and pray about them, head on. Ask God what you should do and he will let you know. Turn to His Word for answers, as well.

Child of God...He is not mad at you!

Isaiah 54:9-10 says that God's love for you will not be shaken, and his covenant of peace will not be removed.

Instead of hating us, God only hates sin and that is why he poured out his wrath against sin and condemnation, on the cross. Not on people. Jesus never came to condemn the world but to save it. John 3:17.
He took our place on the cross, so that we would not have to face the condemnation that sin placed on us. Jesus took on our sins, as our only Mediator between God and man, so that whosoever believes in him, shall be saved. John 3:16

We are not the target of God's anger. SIN is, because he hates when sin separates us from Him. I praise God that He has forgiven us our sins. All who want to be forgiven, can turn to Jesus in prayer and He promises to save us.

"The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness." Psalm 145 8

I rejoice that God is slow to anger. He offered forgiveness, when I confessed my sins, and He does not hold my shortcomings against me. Let us stand on the promises of God and his great love.

Sadly, not as often as we should.

Remember when you were a child and maybe your parents got mad at you at times

I always love these analogies when we sin, God is infinitely more loving then the greatest of parents!
