Jesus probably would have eaten steak. But in the Middle East they did not have cows. Lamb, goat and sheep were the predominant livestock and still are. And historically speaking he would have been crucified because even though it was the Pharisees behind the conspiracy to execute him it was the Roman Governor or abanare that carried out the execution order.
