Consiousness is not yours. It is all-encompassing.

In an eye-opening pet discovery, researchers have found that when humans and dogs interact, it literally changes the way your mind works. It turns out that when you stare into your dog’s adorable puppy eyes, it’s doing a lot more than just tugging at your heartstrings, it’s syncing up the dog’s mind with yours!

Actually, there is only one mind, and that mind is both yours and the dog's. Neuroscientists believe that the mind comes from the brain. This is not true. All life is connected in one consciousness. You can explore this connection by gazing into your dog's eyes. If you are a cat person, try it with your kitty.

@sree251 Eye gaze is not easy to make unless you are in love. Loving your pet is not the same as being in love with it.

Animals see directly and respond cognitively only on demand.

I am postulating here for the purpose of inquiry into a mode of perception that is non-cognitive.

@sree251 Cognitive perception is a human habit on account of our use of language. Our perceptual method is one of verbalization. Everything within view is known through the naming of it.
