Does a person’s beliefs make them good or bad?

For instance, if someone’s religious or political beliefs don’t line up with your own, does that make them a bad person or a stupid person in your opinion??
Would that be the end of trying to understand the person, or would you continue to interact with them on other topics?

I would hope most people wouldn’t label someone so harshly simply because they have differing opinions/belief systems….but sadly, it seems to be a common practice…?

Especially online….?

That's a tough one...I'd like to think that that most people believe what they believe because they at least believe they're morally right. I'm not religious but I certainly don't think religious people are bad or stupid. If you believe life happens at conception then obviously you would be pro life. I try not to judge people based on their political leanings or religious values because people hold those beliefs for a lot of different reasons. I do believe in some universal values that I think transcend the political/religious and that's what I usually base my opinion of people on.
