Does a person’s beliefs make them good or bad?

For instance, if someone’s religious or political beliefs don’t line up with your own, does that make them a bad person or a stupid person in your opinion??
Would that be the end of trying to understand the person, or would you continue to interact with them on other topics?

I would hope most people wouldn’t label someone so harshly simply because they have differing opinions/belief systems….but sadly, it seems to be a common practice…?

Especially online….?

The most triggering stuff is centered around politics and religion.

I totally avoid politics as much as possible as for sure half of your audience will be eliminated right out of the gate no matter what side you are on. But for some that is what they want, so OK.

For religion, I think my views on that would disenfranchise me with the most extreme conservative Christians but with the majority of Christians and even atheists I am OK because even if they don't agree with me, they consider my sexually liberal view of Christianity to be refreshing.

I do have 3 pages of blocked members who were too mean or creepy when I first joined, but I prefer to remain friendly with whomever I can. Some are not going to like you no matter what. I get it.

Thank you for such a great question!
