If you believe in God or a Creator what's your main reason for believing

If you believe because of scripture would you still believe if there was no scriptures. Or was it a personal experience. Or does it just make sense to you to believe in some higher power of some sort

It gives me comfort. I grew up with it and find comfort in the traditions. I accept that it all could be nothing but I truly hope there is an accepting god that loves all of at the end. Either way, the comfort I find is enough for me. Be safe and be well.

@JustGoneNow actually Francis Collins who worked on the human genome mentioned this in his book. He said although it might not be real the affects sure are
@Axeroberts I try to never judge another’s journey. This is just the one that feels right to me. Light and love.

@JustGoneNow it's wise not to judge since we cannot go inside another person's head
@Axeroberts agreed. and my truth, is only true from my current perspective and subject to change as my perspective does. Some things are immutable like love and kindness, but much of the rest of life is perspective, and I cannot understand what I don’t currently have the right perspective for.

I just take my journey as it rolls out before me because I’ve learned that it’s not about the destination. The journey IS the reward.

@JustGoneNow at least you sound open enough for change
@Axeroberts we are constantly changing. Things that refuse to change, instead die… which is still change. It is the one constant in the universe.

@JustGoneNow Sometimes the path can become uncomfortable in the sea of change but yes, I hear where you are coming from.

Be safe and well yourself.

Peace Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
