Is science the religion of atheism?

Calling science a religion is just the latest desperate effort by the faithful to drag everyone down to their level. You're using a phone or computer to post this message. Phones and computers are the result of science. By the logic suggested by your question, a computer would be the equivalent of your holy cross or some finger bone relic of a saint. It's just ludicrous nonsense, perpetuated by pitiful word salads.

Science has had some serious turmoil with recent evidence. Science stated several theories were right because we can’t be proven wrong and yet evidence is coming to show that all of the scientists that humbled because they didn’t know what they were talking about and some even lied about what they did know.

@Richard65 Is the atheist not a defender of the faith of scientism?
Richard65 · M
@sree251 faith mean believe without evidence. That's the exact opposite of science, which relies wholly on evidence. So a big, fat NO.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Richard65 Faith is the evidence of things hoped for.
Richard65 · M
@Pfuzylogic the definition of faith is belief without evidence. Evidence of things hoped for is simply a desire to find evidence for things you hope exist. You're posting your messages using a device that is the product of science. You type your message, post it and you see it appear on here. I then reply to it using my scientific device and we both see it appear here. That's science as there's definite evidence that our devices work on this app. We don't think our messages in our minds and then have faith the other person will receive it and reply with another telepathic message. This is all nonsense, an effort to equate religious faith with scientific knowledge.

Here's a thought. Your wife is in a car crash, is bleeding and can't breathe. Do you get on your knees at the roadside and pray or do you call an ambulance in a rush to get her to hospital so science can save her life?

@Richard65
Considering I know quite a bit more on science than you it might be better for your image that you not come across so aggressive as if you know anything at all. Science is going through right now a crisis in the forwarding 20th century theories as if they are better than fiction.
Faith understands there is a God and while you like to think that there isn’t a God because science doesn’t recognize it. Faith is that window that God allows for humans to experience God. Something you won’t understand because that isn’t how Webster’s dictionary defines Faith.

@Pfuzylogic there you go with your word salads. And you didn't answer my question. If your wife is in a bad accident do you pray or do you call an ambulance and hope medical science can save her? I doubt you understand very much about science at all.

@Richard65
articulate and intelligent…not too self aware are you.
Richard65 · M
@sree251 I think you replied, but your replies have disappeared from here and I can't see them. Can you answer my question? If your wife was in an accident, would you just pray for her survival or call an ambulance in the hope medical science can save her? I'd appreciate an answer from you.
Richard65 · M
@sree251 so you don't want to answer? I'll take your refusal to answer as an answer in itself. If your wife was dying after a serious accident you'd immediately ditch your religious faith and trust in medical scientific discovery to save her. Your faith in science is stronger than your faith in God.
Richard65 · M
@sree251 if you're going to start a debate, it's best not to run away when someone challenges your statement 😒
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Richard65 I did not see your post until now. I don't have a wife. If I had one, I would call for an ambulance.
Richard65 · M
@sree251 so your faith in science is stronger than your faith in God. Thanks for answering my question.
