Do you believe Mohammed flew upto heaven on a winged horse?
@Entwistle and do you believe the world was created by chance ?
By nothing ? And matter was created by itself ?
We all have our crazy beliefs I guess and
I respect yours.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion No i don't. So you accept the winged horse story is crazy?
@Entwistle so what do you believe then?
I need to know your beliefs so I can answer accordingly
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion Do you believe the winged horse story is factual?
I am a Buddhist so i try out the Buddha's teachings.
@Entwistle and Buddha has all of its unbelievable and cannot be proven stuff yet you believe
So how come you judge me for believing that prophet Mohammed rose by aid of God to the heaven?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion I never said i believe everything Buddhism has to say. Do you believe everything the Koran says? All the hadiths too?
@Entwistle i yes
I believe everything in my religion.
@Entwistle
All the hadiths too?
You can't be serious, right?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Babylon I don't believe in Islam or it's hadiths.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion So no critical thinking needed in Islam then? Just blind acceptance?
@Entwistle I didn't ask you that. Do you even know what ahadith are?

You just asked if Muslims believe in all ahadith 🤨
What do you know about ahadith in Islam?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Babylon Yes i know what they are.
@Entwistle I believe in God and I believe in what he revealed , simple.
You have your belief and I have mine.
And I respect yours and I hope you respect my choice.
But
If you do not believe in everything in your Buddha faith then that means you disagree with your religion
Then why follow it ?
It is as if ur saying I know this medicine is bad for me but I’ll talk it either way
@Entwistle then why would you ask that? 😂
If you did, you would know there are books and collections of known fabrications about Islam and that these are in books of ahadith dedicated to containing fabrications

I don't think you knew this when asking that but it's okay. Go ahead and make the point you were trying to make. I'm curious
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion Thats not true. Buddhism isn't a faith in my opinion. It's a practice.
To blindly accept somethings is foolishness. Even the Buddha said 'Don't believe me without testing what i say'
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Babylon The point is islam contains falsehoods. A flying horse being one of them.
@Entwistle great. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the winged horse
@Entwistle it’s not a matter of opinions , it’s an established fact that Buddhism is a religion..

And if it is a practice as you say and you tested what he said and you ended up as you said disagreeing with him on some things

Then that means he is not all knowing.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion I nevwr said i disagree with what The Buddha said. I said i disagree with what some of Buddhism says. See the difference? Some teaching came later..some of them u disagree with. Technically Buddhism is a religion..to many it is a practice. I am one of those that see it as a philosophy and a practice.

@Entwistle
islam contains falsehoods

I have noticed a peculiarity in discussions with moslems. They seem to take as a starting position, on the basis of no reason at all, that the koran cannot be in error.
For them, this seems to be an absolute given.

In a discussion about the koran, one might reasonably assume that the discussion would include three possibilities:
1. the koran is wrong
2. the evidence is wrong
3. the explanation of the evidence is wrong
and that the problem lies within one of those possibilities (or some combination thereof).
However, muslims seem to completely disregard (1). For them, there is absolutely no possibility that the koran is wrong.

This seems to be why, when faced with reason and evidence, they take that as proof only that the explanation must, absolutely must, be incorrect. In their minds, the possibility that the evidence shows the koran to be wrong simply does not exist… cannot exist… cannot be allowed to exist. Their indoctrination is so complete, so comprehensive, that they are actually incapable of even considering such a possibility.

It also means that, in any such discussion, the terms of the discussion are not balanced. You expect that, in principle, any one of the three possibilities above may apply… but the muslim has already excluded one of them (solely on the basis of self-interest). Consequently, during the discussion the muslim will bounce between (2) and (3), but can never… not ever… go anywhere near (1).

However bizarre the claims about (2) or (3) need to become, the muslim can never, not ever, follow the huge, glaring, arrow of reason that points to (1). Any diversion, any circumlocution, any claim of mistranslation (a common tactic), any appeal to any authority (however risible), any evasion whatsoever will be used in order to avoid (1).

This means that the discussion is not an attempt to arrive at the truth. It has no intellectual merit, because it is not conducted openly and honestly.

It is a mere pretence.
@newjaninev2 very well written.

However
they say Islam contain falsehood but cannot prove it
They use their own opinion that not everyone agrees with and say that Is “evidence “ of what makes Islam wrong.
Then if they can have an opinion then I shall have mine.

If you want to prove something wrong have solid proof .
And most importantly they must have manners and good attitude.
Most comment lack when it comes to intellectual and respect

Thank you tho for ur comment
Very well written and respectful
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@newjaninev2 very well put Janine. Bravo.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Islamreligion There is no such thing as a flying horse. That alone probes Islam contains at least one falsehood.
@Entwistle first of all its not a “horse”
Idk from where you got “horse “ from.
It’s a special creature for that night only
With the aid of angel gabriel with the permission of God.
You cannot prove it’s false , since it is not a horse or a creature we know that we can determine if it actually flies or not
Yet Nor can we prove it.
You cannot prove many things in Buddhism either.
By this point , we are going back and forth pointlessly so I won’t keep this conversation.
Thank you

@Islamreligion Buraq a creature the size of a mule,hooves like a horse and a face like a humans. LMAO!
A winged mule with a humans face? No such thing has ever existed.
