Have you experienced a miracle?

For this purpose "miracle" is defined as an unexplainable event.

A few times. When I was 19 I was always with my boyfriend in his van driving around at night. We would drive to the beach and party there. One night he called to pick me up, but I forgot I promised my sister I'd babysit for her. I'd be spending the night at her house. So he took off to go party. The next day I found out he had been killed in a highway collision, 😢 it was a miracle I wasn't with him!

Then another time I got lost and was driving in the foothills, the roads were narrow and winding on and on. I was driving too fast and lost control on a curve, my car spin out in a circle 2 or 3 times before it stopped, 😰 I was hanging off the edge of a cliff off the road.

There's other times were it was a miracle that I survived, but this would turn in to a book!😆I was reading once that we have "5 exit points" before we die. 🤔I'm pretty sure I'm on my last one...

Thrown out of a moving vehicle going 30 miles an hour at less than one year old. Only know I was still a baby. Not even a scratch.

Just the first I know of.

@DeWayfarer So -- there are more?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Nelladell already replied. 🤷‍♂️

True love. It never got its day, but the sheer power of it I could never forget. Not everyone experiences such a thing - and especially not so young as I/we were. More's the pity, in a sense.

@SW-User Great answer.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
Probably not. A few unexplained ones probably but I doubt any were unexplainable.

For instance I don't really know the fine details of biology yet my wife and I produced three children so they were unexplained events, but not unexplainable.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@ninalanyon I get your point.

Adstar · 56-60, M
Yes two healings.
Prophetic dreams.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@Adstar so if he came from there he definitely had a different form -- something like the life that is rrported living in the hot vents of our oceans. Yeah. I should have asked THAT.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Nelladell 😊 It's not just the temperature it's the surface pressure too.. When the Russians sent their probe to Venus they did not need to have a parasuit because by the time it reached the surface the pressure was so high it was like falling through thick liquid like super hot oil..

But i guess Venus sounds romantic and cool so telling a woman you come from Venus may be a good start to getting things started with her.. lol
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@Adstar i suppose it might have been, but certainly much less impressive than instant healing of two serious diseases. Nobody in my family ever forgot him.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
Yes, I think each one of us is an individual miracle.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@TheWildEcho Indeed.

Nelladell · 80-89, F
@Jack17 Simply put, something seemingly nobody seems able to explain --
Jack17 · 18-21, M
@Nelladell have you experienced any
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@Jack17 Things for which I can find explanation -- yes. Jaw-dropping yes.
DDonde · 31-35, M
There was someone who once said that any miracle which is unexplainable must be explainable in some kinda other terms which we don't already recognize as natural law but merely explain how our understanding of natural law is incomplete. That is to say miracles, if they exist, exist within a framework that is explainable but not in a way that we can currently explain.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@DDonde Makes sense to me, eoo.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
It's a biggie. Did it change your outlook?
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
Yes a few..
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@HakunaMatata I very much hope that you wouldn't mind sharing.
SkeetSkeet · 100+, F
I flipped my car over a fence. I was 40 minutes away for anybody and had no cell service. I only had a scratch on my hand from kicking out my back window and climbing out. I guess that's my only miracle
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@SkeetSkeet Thanks for letting us know. You have to feel pretty great about that.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@V00doo Maybe you'd rather not share?

Nelladell · 80-89, F

@Nelladell at eight years old I was pushed out of a tree around 12 feet high. Was knocked unconscious because I landed on my head on a concrete sidewalk.

Skull though wasn't even cracked and no other bones broken. That was the second one I can recall.
Nelladell · 80-89, F
@DeWayfarer Thank you, DeWayfarer. That's pretty interesting, too. Wow.
