Finding Beauty in Sadness

Yesterday I went to a park and meditated underneath a beautiful oak tree.I was feeling painfully depressed and having thoughts about cutting myself.

For the past three months I’ve been battling anorexia and self harm.

After meditating, I opened my eyes and saw how beautiful nature was. The green grass and the sun shining through the trees.

It gave me a comforting thought, that there is beauty in sadness. That just because you’re sad, it doesn’t stop the world around you from being beautiful. And it doesn’t stop you from being beautiful either.

Perhaps I should stop trying to be happy and instead embrace the beauty that comes from my darkness and pain. I am sad and I always will be. But I am beautiful.
There is beauty everywhere but you have to be open to see it. I'm glad you have seen it and i hope you continue to look for it and find it.

Ps. You are beautiful too!

I refuse to believe that you will always be sad.

The fact that you *can* appreciate the beauty of the world shows that you are not so deep into the morose end of the pool of depression that you cannot be reached.

Soak up the sunshine, etc., even when we are in Winter (yeah, Michigan can be gray in Winter; get a sunlamp/sun spectrum lights).

You are beautiful... happiness and sadness both we don't need !
We are individual now and in future too!
