Any suggestions for dealing with holiday food pushers [I Am Fat]

Please don't say, "Just say No thank you." By definition, food pushers pay no attention to that.

A friend of mine says, "I can't, I'm on a doctor ordered diet." This works for her most of the time. But some people don't care about your health.

I've noticed that the people who push food on dieters are often the same people that fat shame you the most and also show up at your house with a pizza on what they know is the first week of your new weight loss diet.

I think they enjoy having fat people to feel superior to. No matter what they say, they do not want you to lose weight.

tell em you are allergic and ask if they want to haul you to the ER if you taste it and it goes wrong. those people are sabotaging your diet deliberately. My ex-husband was good at that. Tell him I was on a diet and he’d start bringing home chocolate bars for me, didn’t do it any other time. So I’d secretly diet when he wasn’t around and make healthy food for dinner, eat a lot of low cal stuff like green beans or salad making it look like I was eating a lot.

@greenmountaingal I don’t eat anything now with gluten in it because it affects my joints making them painful. That helps quite a bit. Plus if I don’t know someone really well I’m not going to eat the food they’ve cooked. Customers used to bring homemade pies and things to the car lot when I worked there, a lot around the holidays. Could not bring myself to eat it..
