@Peaceandnamaste Don't assume because of what you read from books, most Southerners rejected slavery as it was happening and wanted it gone because they viewed it as a stain on the South, in fact many northern states that were agricultural, like iowa, minnesota, ohio, indiana, michigan, wisconsin, and pennsylvania, wanted slavery.
