if you're on your own, should you still bother with your appearance upkeep

[c=7700B2]like i'm past my mid 40s now, i had long term mental problems so never managed to get a girlfriend or partner, but did have quite a few flings with girls in my teenage years and 20s, so didn't completely miss out...but still ive ended up on my own, i still would like a partner but don't know if that will happen at this juncture in time..

but i thought should i bother with the upkeep of my appearance if there's nobody in my life that i have to impress, should i still always try to look my best? i tend to wear chinos or jogging bottoms with hoodies always and trainers, is there anything wrong with that?[/c]

Yes, I think it matters.
Often, I have to remind myself of the same thing.
Even if I'm just running to the grocery store, I can still put on nice jeans and put the sweat pants back on when I get home.

It could improve the way you look, but also the way you feel.

Not at all,but still keep a good appearance,if not for anyone but yourself. If you don't love yourself, who is going to? Respect yourself;there's nothing wrong with that.
