When did you last make someone’s day? What did you do? ^^

A few days ago, someone bought my set of 5 baby bottles for 1 euro on Vinted. Idk why, but they had been for sale for like half a year 🤷🏻‍♀️
I live in Belgium and the package had to be sent all the way to Italy :0
While I was digging in our attick for the bottles, I found some small other stuff and decided to also send it with the package since I’m not using them anymore anyway.

Today I received the notification that the person had picked up the package and a moment later, she sent me a highest review saying she had to cry when she opened the package and thanked me from the bottom of her heart 🥺
Honestly, I wasn’t trying to be overly kind or anything (I mean, I do that a lot too, but it’s usually on purpose lol), but it made me so happy that the small gesture made her day. It instantly also made mine 😁

I’m thinking like, if I sell my baby stuff in the future, I might make that a standard thing.

As a pregnant lady and first time mom to be, thank you for your kindness. Im definitely struggling to get some things fir my daughter before she arrives and i appreciate it so much when other moms offer me things their kids grew out of. Im not too proud to take 2nd hand items as long as my daughter has what she needs

@DarkSideoftheMoon I like buying things second handed that are in good shape. If I wanted, I can probably sell almost everything for the price I’ve bought it.
I have friends who earn less money who seem to look down on that, but my kid will have a savings account with much more in it than theirs later. I’m sorry to hear it’s a struggle sometimes, I’m only lucky that all the risks my family has taken have all worked out. And I got promoted at work unexpectedly too.

That is a lovely touch, sweetie!

For me, the other day one of my colleagues were bemoaning that they didn't have a water bottle and just generally frustrated that they were thirsty all the time...so I went to a store and bought her one for the next day.

She thanked me (a lot of times!) and bought me a chocolate bar...

So that was nice.

This past week I sent someone a new song I'd heard I thought they'd like. They loved it.

Conversely I ruined their day Wednesday without trying and now we're not speaking. 😔

@Starcrossed aww how come they felt their day was ruined?
Always nice when you receive a song because someone thought of you ^^
Solved the unsolvable, sourced assistants and resources for a major project. Finished a portfolio. I just wanted to lift the weight they carried, and defeat they believed was inevitable.
Sometimes, an unexpected kind gesture can go a long way with other people. We just never know when they were last shown a token gesture of kindness by someone.
