I Am a Ny Yankees Fan
Ten years ago, I made a five dollar bet with my child that Derek Jeter would get elected into the Hall of Fame unanimously. Yesterday afternoon, I texted him asking if he remembered making said bet. He is a man of few words, "I do". "Well, today is the day, we shall see", I responded.
It would be later in the evening when I would again text, "I owe you $5."
No response.
He has never been the type of guy to stick it in your face.
I'm thrilled for Jeter as he was used as the perfect example raising an athlete in the NY Metro area. His grace, his compassion, his humility, his work ethic and his love of family. Another woman's son help me mold my guy.
