I see that the Blue Jays finally gave fans at Scotiabank Arena something to celebrate about.

@beckyromero It has been a lot longer coming than it last was for NY so we don't feel badly about the result... Given the comparative payrolls Toronto has built a very efficient functional team not filled with stars - filled with talent and cohesiveness.. a team that is integrated that supports and plays well together.. Strong pitching and some delightful surprises - Trey Yesavage for one had a storybook first playoff outing with his parents and brother in the stands...I hope this young man has a brilliant career in baseball.. Not just a good team but one that is likeable individually and collectively.. Given our dismal political leadership in the city, and federally it gives us some distraction from the disasters we are surrounded by.. You allude to the hapless Maple Leafs.. I was nine years old the last time they won the Stanley Cup.. People have been born and died without seeing it happen.. My Wife likes Hockey - I rarely watch it.. I do love the cerebral game of Baseball - I like guessing in my mind as to what is going to happen next.. Its fun..

As a Blackhawks fan, this was a dig at the Leafs.
Good luck to the Blue Jays, though (just not against the Cubs.)
