The man had the talent to be the greatest pitcher ever, but liked cocaine more than baseball

Saw him pitch in his prime a couple of times. It was worth the extra $$ to get a seat to the 3rd base side of home plate to watch him throw. His fastball had a second stage hop that was devastating. Initially looks belt high to the hitter, and ends up above the letters. A lot of swing and misses.
