WNBA Gripes

So they have no issue playing w a smaller ball , shorter quarters , closer 3 point line . But a lower rim is where they draw the line ?

Interesting, I didn't realize the ball is smaller, but the hoop is the same size, meaning, in theory, they should be making a higher precent of the shots.

I do agree with them, that they have been practicing on the same height rim their entire life's, and if you change it, their miss percentages will probably go WAY WAY WAY up...

BUT, also, agree with the thought that if you made their game, the old school physical brand of basketball, that more people might watch.

Of course, I don't know if enough people to make a big enough of a difference or make it worth their wild.

Why, is this issue actually coming up? Is the WNBA considering a change?

Also, really, shorter quarters? Man, NBA games should be 60 minutes games, not 48.. Looks like the WNBA only does 40 min game

That league is average high school basketball here. Their 2nd biggest “star” Angel Reese was called a prolific rebounder on a certain sports network. What they failed to mention in the highlights they showed was her missing 3-4 times inside of 3 feet and getting her own rebounds. Complete joke

@JesseInTX should be disbanded. No profit in nearly 30 years, what would you do

@MarineBob it’s subsidized by the NBA. I can’t stand the NBA either. Haven’t watched it since maybe 2008 or so? So if I was commissioner of the NBA I would keep collecting my 30 million a year salary and if the owners wanted to keep funding the WNBA I’d let them give their money to a sinking ship

@MarineBob the W stands for welfare
This proves that soccer is the best sport in the world, the game remains unchanged for women

@TheEnforcer that’s why I respect woman’s soccer players . Same rules , same equipment .

@MarineBob I’m 6’4” and played D3 college ball. Until my late 30’s I was confident I could beat a WNBA roll player 1 on 1.
