Reflecting on the Celtics game 3 win….

Hauser can’t throw the ball in the ocean. This team is proving to be tenacious and full of grit.

The Celtics stagnant offense would not win a Championship in many other years but this year is different considering the remaining teams left. The Celtics are clearly the best team left. With a healthy Porzingis they are very much the best team left. Either way they should finally get it done. There are the basketball gods who sometimes reward a team who have been knocking on the door for many years. Former New Orleans Saints coach Bum Phillips once said, “there comes a point when you have to stop knocking on the door and eventually just break it down.”

Coming off the big offensive 40 point Jalen Brown game, their offense became to Jalen Brown-centric in the first half. Mazzula finally figured out that they needed to stay big against these guys, hence the limited Pritchard time on the floor.

The Celtics post season mvp is Holiday, he does all the little things at the right time. Derrick White is their most active player and is around the rim at the right times with tips, rebounds, blocks and just changing shots. You can’t teach good instincts and White has them. Tatum needs to get his head straight and play better at home like he does on the road. Brown has cleaned up his wild drives a bit this year within the playoffs.

I love how this team hunkered down. Would love to see a sweep. Watched Pacer’s coach Rick Carlisle in the post game press conference filled with rage saying “we are going to after them” twice, you had to see it. The league should fine him, I interpreted that as a veiled threat.

When Al Horford doesn’t have to think and just shoots, the threes fall easier.

The Pacer’s O’Connell is annoying and falls on the floor every time he shoots. A little guy like him should never dominate the paint area.

The Pacers got a real friendly whistle in the first half so they shouldn’t complain. I hate NBA officials, they make calls based upon the series and how they can extend it. Holiday’s late steal/play was clearly a clear path foul. Kuddos to him for playing with a fever and at a high concentration level.

What are the odds now for the Pacers to win this series statistically?A 3-0 comeback in the post season NBA has never been done. Missing the days of Bird, McHale, Parish and Dennis Johnson.

Remember one thing, momentum in basketball games are real but not so much regarding the next game and regarding the series. Every game is different and each game takes on a life of its own.

Before the series it was said that Porzingis could be back for game four. With a 3-0 lead, I would hold him out of this series. That gives him another week to heal.

@eli1601 Yeah but there comes a point where you return from an injury and one must question how effective one will be.

This isn’t a video game, real human bodies here. Even if Porzingis returns, he wont start and probably be at a max of 15-20 minutes per game. Playing off the rust is something any team playing in a championship series doesn’t have the luxury of having take place.

I don’t know if Mazzula is willing to risk the chemistry at this point and load up on his minutes. It’s just not realistic. It wouldn’t be fair to him or the team at this point.

Hauser needs to start hitting some open shots. The guy simply hasn’t shown up on the offensive end of the floor…
