Is AI close to being dangerous already?

I had this weird dream that I was working at a place that had a robot. It was one of those cone shaped Dalik looking ones that patrol parking lots. In the dream the robot was connected to an AI. I was working on a loading dock and needed to climb up on something. When I reached for a hand hold the robot had moved right into the way so I nearly slipped. It was calculating everything. Places I could fall, fatigue level, paterns of movement that it observed. All so it could arrange an accident and it would look like the robot just blundered into a position that caused me to get hurt or killed.
