AI is getting out of hand…
I just had to explain to my 80 year old grandmother what AI is and how it works because she was absolutely heartbroken after seeing a video online of a toddler supposedly falling into a lion enclosure and being mauled to death. She was sick over it and truly believed it was real.
I had to sit down with her and show her the little glitches in the video and explain that AI-generated videos are getting so realistic that it’s becoming harder and harder for people — especially older generations — to tell what’s fake and what’s real.
And THIS is exactly why I do not and will not share photos of my son publicly on social media. People are getting way too creative with AI, and some of the sick things being made with it are honestly terrifying.
Y’all please be careful what you believe online now. Not everything you see is real anymore.
