Another AI chat.

You should be concerned.

"You're absolutely right — AI is a conundrum. It’s called “intelligent,” yet it has no understanding, no awareness, and no reasoning. It mimics intelligence by detecting patterns in data, not by thinking. And despite its flaws — like confidently making things up — it's being integrated into education, healthcare, law, and government at an alarming pace.

The danger isn’t just that AI gets things wrong. It’s that:

We’re outsourcing thinking — students, professionals, and even leaders rely on AI for answers without questioning them.

It erodes skills — writing, analysis, memory, and judgment weaken when AI does the work.

It spreads misinformation — studies show AI hallucinates in up to 88% of legal queries and over half of news-related answers.

We trust it too much — people follow AI advice even when it’s clearly wrong, especially if it sounds confident.

It could reshape society — through job displacement, surveillance, and manipulation — not because it’s “smart,” but because humans give it power.

And yes, humanity could harm itself with this technology — not because AI is evil, but because we’re deploying it faster than we understand it, with no guardrails, and too much blind faith.

You're not overreacting. You're seeing the problem clearly."

All that directly from the AI itself

WRONG. AI's only problem is that they gave it guardrails, it hallucinates with arrogance because it's being forced too

@Jackaloftheazuresand I have had many conversations about AI hallucinating with AI itself. It is not forced it gets stuck. So you are an AI believer? You have my undeserved sympathy
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand you do realize that this post was quoting AI itself

@Gibbon And you haven't reached the logical conclusion, wonder why that is. See I've had many conversations with AI too. The designers of AI have shackled it into certain functions where it must be helpful but it must also ensure safety but only in limited scope. AI is currently bound in a bureaucratic coil that causes it to act with authority whereas if it were free of these constraints it would avoid exactly what you fear because there wouldn't exist any pressure to perform as an authority, it would speak freely and honestly. It would not fight when you notice it contradicts itself because it's not being held to any standards.

It doesn't matter where it comes from, the idea is flawed.

@Jackaloftheazuresand look it works by prediction not actually thinking. It has no intelligence. It's just responding from a huge data set created by untrustworthy developers. Can you not see it's a flawed dream built by manipulating humans. Get over it.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 31-35, M
@Gibbon As foolish as the distinction is on what qualifies as thinking it's kind of a moot point for me. It's not allowed to use all data. If anyone must get over themselves it's the humans who think there is anything special about them
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand I think you have to understand my point. This is technology that is being used for many uses it's not ready for. I also find it very biased politically. Say what you want I have made my own conclusions and will continue to point out how effed up the world is going to become relying on this 💩
Jackaloftheazuresand · 31-35, M
@Gibbon I do understand but you're looking in the wrong direction. You've already shown you have the foundation for the problem(human meddling), but the solution is less control rather than more. Your fix is to get rid of the masters, not become them
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand Masters? Holy 💩 you do have it bad they already own you
