Why AI is dangerous.

A significant danger of AI is the use of deepfakes and synthetic media to fabricate audio and video content that makes it appear as though public figures are saying or doing things they never did. This manipulation poses serious risks, particularly in the areas of politics, finance, and personal reputation.

Highly realistic, fabricated content can be used to defame or blackmail public figures, celebrities, and even private individuals. Once released, such content can spread rapidly across social media, and the initial harm is difficult to remedy even if the content is later proven fake.
