I am struck by how good the people look, clean, almost blemish free. Perhaps the original photo's were cleaned up? They look too good, better than real life.

@bowman81 Yes, probably so. I’ve been amazed at how my old photos can be cleaned up so that they’re sharper. And my pics aren’t nearly as old as these ! 😊
