So-called "Artificial Intelligence" ("idiocy"?) can only do two things:
- Answer straight factual questions: what is the capital of India, that sort of thing.
- String together what it calculates, not thinks, mathematically the most likely answers to other, more nebulous, questions and statements.
Unlike us, it has no real "intelligence", it cannot "think", it has no emotions, it cannot comprehend nuances, body-language, verbal stresses and tones, and other human clues we rely on for normal communication.
And you won't hurt or offend it by simply closing your computer and switching it off!
