It is physically impossible for AI to be smarter than humans because we provided AI with what we know in life so far. What this means is, AI can never know more than the most intelligent human contributor to AI knows because AI cannot reason. AI can only provide answers to what is already known, not what it hasn't been told the answer is by a human.
