The advancement of technology will only lead to the extinction of all of humanity. Eventually we'll have a machine capable of fulfilling all of our needs and wants, this will lead to us becoming redundant and eventually we'll have no purpose in the world and we'll all die

@Steve42 nothing lasts for forever. But i think before we become extint we will colonize at least one or two other planets. Because as a species we multiply consume every resource in the area and move to the next area to repeat the process. I wouldn't be surprised if we became an overpopulated planet and consume more resources than we can create causing us to create colonies on the moon first, maybe eventually even mars. Nothing is impossible.
