Has gaining weight ever made you physically less comfortable sleeping?

I gained about 10 pounds this past year. not sure why but it seemed to happen within maybe 2 months. Lately my hips ache in bed. Has anyone ever been uncomfortable in their bed while sleeping due to weight gain? Or has losing weight caused you to feel less pain/ more comfort at night?

Not me, but it’s happened to my partner. He has to be mindful of his weight because otherwise it messes with his ability to breathe and IMO effects how the bed doesn’t support him properly because we don’t have a firm mattress.
