Also, if you have or can get medical tape, taping it to the next toe might help. Fair warning, the actual taping will likely be unpleasant.

@Rhode57 As long as it's not a break which has been shifted, then there's not much that can be done. Time and not hurting it farther are what you need. 6-8 weeks of time.
If it looks out of place or bent, then you need to see a doctor to get it set or pinned. If it only looks swollen, then all a doctor can do is confirm the break with an x-ray and tell you to take it easy.
