Don’t ever pay the money. Not sure where in the world you are. Here there is a task force dedicated to investigating sextortion and they will work with international police. I did a training with Australian police recently and they shared that outcomes are better if no money is turned over from the start. Screenshot, report and then block would be my advice.

Its already bad enough if being blackmailed, dont give them anything else to use against you

Post what they are doing and make it public, or just laugh at them

Was sexting with a woman. Gave her too much info. Just as he ejaculated, a guy joins in and demands a payment. When he refused, they created a Facebook page, in his name, and posted the video to it. Facebook would not take it down.

Yep. A few weeks ago I was on Reddit and stupidly gave some info away along with a couple pics. Before I knew it I got bombarded with messages asking for $300 or they’d tell my family. I blocked them and never heard from them again. Learned my lesson too

Only once. If you look you’ll see that I have posted one or two pictures on here of me with no clothes on. The pictures aren’t particularly pornographic and generally just to illustrate little anecdotes. Anyway I got an email (how did they know that!) asking for a bitcoin ‘present’ or they would post them on a porn site! I ignored it of course. Two of the pictures have been posted on porn sites (I did reverse searches) though who did it and why I’ve no idea.

Kik has a huge problem with that. Never pay. If you do then they know their tactics work and will keep demanding more. It’s a big problem.
