Why does a woman you love ask you," Are you sure you wanna be with a woman like me?" Is that a Scorpio thing?

We both love each other. But sometimes out of no where she would ask me that question. To make it more clear, I replied to her immediately, "Yes, I'd even marry you in a heartbeat." This kinda question is making me wonder if she's not into me or she's not ready to take the next step in our relationship.

She's either insecure or vain. She wants to hear you tell her all the great things you love about her.
ineedadrink · 56-60, M
Have you asked her about what she means by "woman like me"?
ineedadrink · 56-60, M
@Tinkerxbell I'm not going to lie, that can drain a person after a while, having to constantly reassure someone.
Tinkerxbell · 36-40, F
@ineedadrink Yeah, you're right.. I feel like that sometimes. But I do genuinely love her.
ineedadrink · 56-60, M
@Tinkerxbell It's overly simplistic to say love is all you need but it can help you persevere. And hopefully she can realize her true worth so you don't have to be the energizer bunny of reassurance. But I do suggest you set mental boundaries for yourself.

Her past relationships have her low on self worth

@pdockal Oh.. Thank you for your kind reply.

Such things can make you feel anxious, scared, and confused.
There are ways of communicating this to her without triggering withdrawl.

Most feelings of unworthiness are directly tied to a lack of unconditional love during a person's formative years.
What she's really doing is looking for reassurance, even as her phrasing is seemingly pushing you away or proffering doubt in the relationship.

I'd suggest that you lightly suggest to her that perhaps she explore my theory and at least give some thought to what her constant needs for reassurance may be doing to your own mentalitiy.

These are tricky conversations for anyone uncomfortable truly discussing emotions from a place of curiosity and vulnerability.

I wish you patience, faith, and a continuing love with her that lasts you forever.

Be well
Live happy
Keep trying,

Self worth issues or looking for an exit.
It’s an insecurity thing. I suggest you talk about what you’re wondering about.
Tinkerxbell · 36-40, F
@OlderSometimesWiser I did. She's a bit messed up - her work is too overwhelming for her atm.
@Tinkerxbell Then be loving and supportive and try not to take the question personally. But be sure to keep the lines of communication open should this continue to be an issue.

It's not that she's not into you. It's the opposite she feels that she may not be good enough for you. Everyone should ask this question not just women and put everything out there and have an open conversation
I think she might ask that question because she is into you, and it's bringing up feelings in her of self doubt, and maybe low self esteem. In moments when she's more sure of her value, she would know she's worthy of your love and of being with you.
thisguy20 · 46-50, M
That would be a sign of her thinking you are too good for her, or she isn't good enough for you
It may stem from feelings of insecurity.

Before you came into her life, she may have faced significant challenges.

She might still be surprised that someone as wonderful as you could care or Love for her so deeply.

She just wants reassurance

@Chern0bylplaygr0unds Thanks so much. *hugs*

It has nothing to do with being a Scorpio. Ive never asked that question in my whole life or even thought it before.
Tinkerxbell · 36-40, F
@lissah Thank you - perhaps her past childhood made her a bit insecure.
