how do you cope with permanent injuries which no surgery can fix

like my right hand, the middle knuckle is damaged has nerve damage because i hit a solid surface a long time ago through an anger outburst, and i found no surgery can fix it or cure the nerve damage...i can still grip strongly with that hand, but i can't punch anything solid anymore with it..

on my left hand, my little finger is crooked and looks deformed through an injury i cannot remember doing....but once again a surgeon told me no surgery could fix or straighten the finger...once again i can grip with that hand, but can't grip as strongly as with my right hand..

these minor injuries get me down at times as i've always been vain.....any thoughts appreciated or help.

i'm in my mid 40s now.

It's a reminder to hold your temper, I have a massive scar on mine.

Thanks for BC!

It might be Heberden's node. My little finger on my left hand is crooked like yours. It happened overnight, without any accident or anything.

Heberden's node could result from such causes as caffeine overdose. In my case, it happened after I drank a lot of coffee. I tried an exotic brand.
