I've been trying to grow out my pixie cut since about February and it's in that awkward in-between stage and driving me nuts. I can't do anything with it and now I am considering just saying F it and keeping it a pixie. Patience is not a virtue of mine.

So I love a pixie and I think it is such a easy style.

But I feel you on the growing it out part I felt like that when I had my bob. Your hair probably grows a lot faster than mine, but I understand the struggle.

I think sometimes when you are growing your hair out, you can return to your hair dresser to get them to neaten it up so It looks like it's at the length you want it to be instead of awkward.

Either that or some linked extensions.

It's important that you do what you think is best for you and manageable for you, because if the goal is to grow it out, now it's the time to show it as much care as possible .
@Mellowgirl I feel like my hair grows really slow, but maybe I am just impatient. I am still on the fence. I like the edgier look of the pixie but the upkeep is a lot. To keep it looking good you got to go in more often in my experience.

@SlippingAway I hear you. I have only ever had a pixie as a wig because the bob was a lot.
Umm... Honestly is your hairdresser the kind that keeps them self quite modern?
Like they should be able to guide you if you want something edgy but help you keep the length.

If not they can guide you as to how to style it so it's a bit more refreshed
