I didn't spend summers barefoot as a young kid (elementary age), although I did go barefoot a good bit. As I got older and was able to get out on my own, I started going barefoot more and to more places. First it was on my 10-speed bike (yea the one with the metal pedals) and then my car. I started going barefoot everywhere. Then I worked summers at a pool, teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding. I really did spend the entire summers barefoot those years. 👣
