I Truly Enjoy Being Barefoot

I really do I absolutely love it.

I went for a barefoot woodland walk the other day and it was absolutely fantastic. I'll be doing it more often.

I just loved the mud ouzing between my toes in the muddy patches, the feel of the wet autumn leaves that were sticking to my soles, the crunching noise the twigs made as I stepped on them.

It was a great experience.

Ahhh i love being barefoot! I go shop in barefoot sometimes (i did the other night) i just couldn't be asked looking for socks...And in the summer me and my mum did barefoot to town...Then when i was camping, me and my mate was barefoot for the day...And i did barefoot in the woods once (for a while) then other times just a little bit...It does feel so refreshing! It's like a free foot massage! :D

"Free foot massage" I like it!
How was it barefoot in the shop & about town?
Also it's so cool you can enjoy being barefoot out in public and the woods with friends &family.
Cheers! :)
In the shop its fine, till you stand in the freezer section! The floor is cooooold! Around town was good, its good when you have someone else to be barefoot with. As i care a lot less what others think...
And yeah, i suppose so, its just natural really, it aint weird when you think about it...

Absolutely love the attitude! You are quite right (we all have feet).
I worry the security guard in the supermarket will ask me to leave or something daft.

I totally get what you mean about being barefoot with someone. When you are by yourself you or I do feel quite conscious of the fact my feet are bare.
Cheers :) That's my mum in me lol...Yeah i mean, i dot get people who HATE feet, or are repulsed by them...I think they are weird lol...
Nah i very much doubt it (i think that would be discrimination - As you are a customer causing no loss, theft or harm)

Yeah, exactly...My fella nearly had a hissy fit at me for the local shop one hahaha
Ross19 · 31-35, M
Well the summer is over now so I do t think I'll get to do much barefoot walking, especially trips to the supermarket. Although I am secretly looking forward to some snow so I can go for a hike in the white stuff barefoot. I don't know why but I really want to.

Your fella should count himself lucky having a barefoot partner... hahaa.
I know :/ ...Though bear it in mind next spring/summer! :)
Ah really? You probably wont be able to do it for too long...

Lol maybe, tho, i don't see how what i wear or don't wear has anything to do with him! He's too bloody self conscious!
Ross19 · 31-35, M
Yes! It's one of my goals for next summer to spend an entire week barefoot. Absolutely no shoes or socks. Shops and all!
As for the snow footing I'll keep it to a nearby trail and see how it goes.

You are right what you wear has nothing to do with him. I'm single but if any future girl of mine wanted to go barefoot I'd embrace it maybe buy her a cute anklet.
Awww wow, that will be cool man :) Go for it...Take a few little rests because sometimes, i think it can make your feet ache, specially if your not used to it...So go easy, or ease into it...Tho, it shouldn't be a problem tbh...
Ah ok, good luck :)

Awww that's sweet :) That's the thing, i wish he would just embrace me for the weird little things that i do :)
Ross19 · 31-35, M
Yes I'll have to take a week of work and I'm thinking of increasing my barefoot time leading up to it. I may even go away for the week. Maybe a beach town where i shouldn't get any "looks" I think you know what I mean.

I agree he should encourage and embrace your barefooting. Make him join in... haha
Yeah, good idea...Ah that'll be fun...Tho, i don't think it matters where abouts you are, i know what you mean tho...But i was literally knocking around the town centre all day jamming with my mates...So i don't think it makes a difference where you go, you'll still get some looks no matter what you do...

Good idea! :D
Ross19 · 31-35, M
@Solitudebluebell: my friends & family don't really know about my barefoot enjoyment. Sure I'm barefoot in and around the house but that's different. Because of this I think I'd prefer to spend a barefoot week away.

I bet you looked totally cool in the town centre barefoot. Were your mates in bare feet too?
Why not?
Ah ok, do whatever you thinks best...

Cheers! :D Nah just 2 of us...We are a strange bunch, they all drink, i don't...And theres a big age mix too...It was just me and another younger.
Ross19 · 31-35, M
@Solitudebluebell: I know my parents and sisters would have some comments. I don't really want to talk to them about it.

I think we all have a wide mixed range of friends. That's life. I do find it extremely cool that you just go barefoot in town AND you can get others to do the same.
Well, its personal to you i suppose, if its a fetish of yours...For me it aint, so it doesn't bother me...It aint a big deal either way really! :)

Cheers, well what can i say, im a leader! (An Aries too which helps!) Lol
Ross19 · 31-35, M
I don't like the word "fetish" but yes I suppose it is one of mine. I'm not shy or anything I'm always barefoot at home and in the garden but if my mum saw me in town barefoot she'd be all "where are your shoes?" And now I can't tell her to mind her own business now can I.

I think you need to lead and get the whole group barefoot. Now that'd be a site to see. An extremely uncommon site too here in England.
Fair enough...Not everything that we enjoy that's a little kooky has to be a fetish aye?
Hmmm, couldn't you think of a good excuse? I could, im master of excuses lol...You could just say because you like it and leave it at that?

Lol yeah that would be cool...I could make a group on meetup (is im not in the town as i was before)...Ah your in the Uk too? Small world huh? :)
Ross19 · 31-35, M
Yeah I could make an excuse I suppose. I have been seen by strangers before but mostly they look, smile and walk off.

Yeah I've actually looked for meetup barefoot groups nearby me and I'm yet to find any. There was one group but the leader wanted to charge and I was like "eh why are you charging people to meet up in a public woods"

Haha yeah small world. Most people on here are from America or Australia.
Hmmm...

Really? Makes ya laugh don't it? I mean, i get it if they need to buy stuff or something...Some people got some front!

Really? I don't know tbh...The USA i could believe, they're everywhere! Haha
Ross19 · 31-35, M
Oh yes... The group wasn't on meetup but her own website so maybe she needed funds for the admin. I could just drive out to the woods where she meets (Otley Chevin by the way).

Our American friends are everywhere. I used to have some New Zealand friends on the old experience project and they went barefoot all the time like they never wore shoes at all.
Maybe...Yeah, Who/whats Otley Chevin?

Aw cool! Well in a place like that its probably normal...Have you ever thought how weird it is that people wear shoes in shops? Yet at home and other houses, its polite to take them off? I mean, they are both indoors, so what's the difference?
Ross19 · 31-35, M
@Solitudebluebell: Otley Chevin is just a woods nearby.

Yep I keep hearing it's perfectly normal to go about your day totally barefoot in NZ. I would love to move there.

Haha I never even thought of that angle. You are absolutely right shops are indoors and I'm barefoot inside my house and friends houses. The only difference is that when I come home I take my shoes and socks off and leave them laying around
Aaah ok...

Aw really? That sounds like a cool place to go :)

Exactly! We have it backwards here in England with a lot of things...I mean, they should have giant shoe racks before entering shops maybe...Shopping lockers or something...Anyone with any verruca's on there feet should borrow temporary plimsolls or sandals or something maybe...
Ross19 · 31-35, M
We should just take the NZ approach and not even bother with shoes. It's perfectly normal for kids to go to school barefoot and I think because walking barefoot is seen as normal from a young age it carries right through to adulthood.
I definitely need to go. Maybe one day I will.

Shops should have a no shoes policy and soon people would just go barefoot. (I can't see this ever happening though).!
Yeah! I like the whole going back to nature thing tbh...
Well, i wish you luck! Don't let anything stop you will you now?

Hmmm...Im sure if me and you did bare feet more often, then it may catch on? Make it look normal! ''be the change you want to see''...Zoop zoop!
Ross19 · 31-35, M
Well winter is right around the corner I think that will have an impact.

It's just a shame I have to (and I hate it) wear shoes for work otherwise I'd try and get a whole spring/summer barefoot. I regret not doing this when I was younger and still a student.
