Ok, so I am seen as, as my mum would say, a 'glamour puss', and it always appears that I wear heels but, honestly, at home around the house of in my garden I am usually to be found, in the warm months at least, bare footed...

There's something about having the ground underneath my feet that just feels....safe.

There was a guy here in Minnesota with rain gutter gardens that instead of buying garden fabric would go to the carpet stores and get the used carpets they'd removed from people's houses. They were glad to get rid of it for free. He had the only garden you had to take your shoes off before entering. Stuff lasted for years.
