I Like to Be Barefoot

@KatieJ 😅 I can imagine grit salt is not nice to walk on barefoot. Like sand, but a lot less of it, and bigger grains.

What is it like walking barefoot on the snow? I’ve never done it. Are you less prone to slipping barefoot than when wearing shoes?

@glidingseagull Grit salt is quite sharp and can hurt especially if your soles are a little cold.

Walking barefoot in fluffy clean snow is such a joy.

@KatieJ I should probably try it sometime, maybe I will enjoy it.

I’ve never gone barefoot outside, in fact, I rarely go barefoot in the house. I find it uncomfortable, but I feel I should embrace nature a bit more. Do you have any advice for a first time barefooter like myself?

@glidingseagull Honestly simply take your shoes and socks off and enjoy being barefoot. Go to a local park first or a queit countryside walkway.

@KatieJ There is so much snow and ice around, it is actually better to go without shoes and socks all the time if you can stand it 🐻 Because you have to take off your shoes before coming indoors to the residential areas, then you get wet socks from the floor and that is pretty miserable 😟 It is nice when you are inside and can walk barefoot on the carpet 😌

@KatieJ I like the cold, but not the wet. Last week the younger girls in my house decided to bring their snowman indoors and they flooded the lobby 🙄

@TammieBear ohh no cold wet slippery floors... not good for bare feet at all.
Hope you had them clean up.

@KatieJ It's cold, but better than having wet socks 😟 They were in lots of trouble . . early bedtimes all week for that "joke" 🙄

@TammieBear Ugh 😑 I hate wet socks 🧦 they are so horrible in a way I cannot describe. At least if feet get wet they are naturally dry very soon afterwards.
