Saw a friend i haven't seen since last year.
A friend was in town randomly so we decided to hang out. When we met her eyes got wide because last time I saw her I was still skinny. My outfit wasn't helping either, tight low rise jeans and a tank top that my lower belly was hanging out of. We hugged and her hands went to my middle and she said, "Oh my goodness, you look so good!" And kinda patted my tummy.
We had a few beers to pregame before the bar. I saw my friend staring at my belly the whole time and after my third beer she said, "So that's where that beer belly came from! I never thought you'd ever fill out so much!" She's always been blunt.
So we chatted about my weight gain for a while and we even compared bellies. Hers sticks out and is getting soft but mine hangs over my pants and jiggles with every move. I teased her that she looks like me when I started getting fat, with a soft bloated belly sticking out and that she'd better be careful or she'll get fat like me. She said, "Oh please. I'm WAY skinnier than you! I have a ways to catch up!"
That night at the bar my friend kept staring at my belly and she eventually blurted out, "Wow you really have put on some pounds!" I agreed and lifted up my top to show her my belly and even stuck it out for show. She laughed and said, "And its all gone to your BELLY! I'd think you were pregnant if you didn't jiggle like that!"
I just laughed and said, "I guess I just carry weight in my belly! You should just let yourself get fat, its fun!"
I wonder what she'll say if we go to the beach and she sees me in my bikini.
