For my experienced impact play tops/bottoms

What was one thing you wish you had been taught regarding impact play? Another class I'm teaching in my local club. What should we incorporate. I plan to speak about nerve damage and wrapping. What else ?

The importance of checking in with the bottom during the scene. Some can and will dissociate and be unable to safeword to end a scene.

If the bottom is mute, then they may be unable to safe word.

@chickiegirl95 Since you didn't mention their experience level, I was reluctant to say anything, but I think it's good for all levels to learn about/get a refresher on... especially as someone who goes from one extreme to the other.

@HootyTheNightOwl it's for all levels. If it's just a refresher that's ok 🤷. Id rather cover my bases

@TAReturns yes! I literally had this conversation with the dominant that I will be leading this class with today! I'm up for everything but blood. He literally went as far as to show me everything in his bag and asked if any of the toys were a no and asked if I bruise easy (I don't) and if I enjoy bruising or not. I'm so glad I have an amazing knowledgeable person doing this with me

Are you talking about wrapping for recovery?

@OogieBoogie no when bendy implements such as floggers wrap when being swung
@chickiegirl95 ah....yes. Now i get you.
Yeah, people can not know about tip speed on flexible tools. They can get pretty sharp even at low impact.
