there are subtleties of emotion and perception, that take many years to cultivate. This is not a fault, any more than not being tall enough yet to reach the top shelf. to learn an advances thing,, you have to start with a simpler one.
You should indeed play with this one and that one.. but dont try to make a permanent sub just yet.. better still find an experienced dominant and try out bottoming for a while...or at least be an assitant
